The 2023 HIA Award-winning home in Karrinyup is testament to the possibilities within Perth's densifying inner suburbs. The question of whether one can build a big, family home on a compact lot in a blue chip suburb is answered with this magnificent residence.
Seamless indoor/outdoor flow
The incorporation of a stacking sliding door really opens up the space, and with the clever continuation of the same floor tiles from inside to outside we can essentially double the entertaining space.
Our in-house design team worked with the client to ensure we maximised every inch of the small lot to achieve this very functional and aesthetically pleasing outcome.
Still room for a butler's pantry
By taking a little space from the living area, which can still accomodate the couch and TV, our clients were able to also have a very useful and practical butler's pantry, providing additional storage and wet area to hide away the mess when entertaining guests.
Flooded with natural light
Usually on a small lot you can be quite close to neighbours, so achieving plenty of natural light can often be difficult.
Our design team overcame this issue by including the void above the stairs which allowed room for this bank of windows to flood the downstairs living area with plenty of natural light.
Creating an additional room with outdoor blinds
Our clients considered every detail of this home, and by adding these stylish and sophisticated electronic outdoor blinds, they have been able to create a totally separate room with the flexibility to open up the area when they choose.
With the right amount of planning and the right design team and builder to guide you through, there is no reason why you too cannot achieve an amazing luxury home on a small block.
