"I think there is a real gap in the market for high quality single storey homes in blue chip suburbs," said Craig, who runs his real estate business from his home office. "Most new construction in these areas are two storey homes, but there are a lot of people out there who would still prefer a well-planned single storey home with all of the latest fixtures and finishes that a newly constructed home offers."
With the majority of their previous builds being for investment, the design of this home had to take into account how the Langton family wanted to live, and the single storey option still ticked all of the boxes.
"We have lived in two storey homes previously and we found the separation between us and the kids was very obvious,” said Annette. “We find living in this home, we just naturally end up spending more time together as a family".
Having worked with numerous builders over the years, Craig and Annette decided to entrust Novus Homes with the design and build of their new home, having been impressed with the quality of their display homes and the level of specification offered by Novus.
"Everything we wanted was mostly included, not added extras like other builders we spoke to. From the sales consultant, through to the team in the office, and topped off by our amazing site supervisor, we knew we were in good hands from the get go,” said Annette.
The end result is not only an exquisite looking home, with a myriad of design features like extra high ceilings, detailed cornicing, feature lighting and recessed walls to showcase stunning art pieces, but the Langton’s have also managed to create a very liveable home that suits their family perfectly.
In previous homes we always had some wasted space, rooms we rarely used, but in this home every room has a purpose,” said Craig. “The kids still have their own space, I have my private office for work and we have this amazing living area where we all come together.
However it is the indoor/outdoor alfresco area that is this family's favourite area to spend time. Termed the ‘infresco’ the alfresco area has been enclosed creating an extra living and entertaining space, complete with full outdoor kitchen, floor to ceiling glass offering views to the spectacular resort styled pool area.
"We had 21 family and friends for Christmas this year and the area just worked perfectly," concluded Craig.
